Without clean, easily accessible water, communities are subjected to a life of poverty for generations with children dropping out of school and parents struggling to make a living. Access to clean water enables them to have good hygiene & sanitation, lead healthier and more productive lives – just as we in the developed world are able to.

Here at Between Detailing, our mission is to do our part to bring clean water to those in need. A large portion of the commercial car wash industry does not give much consideration to water conservation.

Millions of gallons of water are wasted every year due to unsustainable car wash systems. For example, a high-pressure tunnel car wash uses 120 gallons of water per vehicle, which at 400 cars per day gives you a total of 96,000 gallons of water wasted daily (2.88 million monthly and 34.5 million annually). The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the average family of 4 uses 144,000 gallons per year. So a single car wash location could supply approximately 240 families with water.

All donations will flow through *Waipuanani Foundation and subsequently the proceeds will be donated to organizations that help to alleviate the problems related to the lack of access to clean potable water.

Waipuanani Foundation, in partnership with Between Detailing, promotes the more sustainable practice of waterless car washing. We donate the equivalent amount of water that would have been wasted at a conventional car wash to people that need it the most. *Waiapuanani is a qualified 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization and donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
